  • Searched existing issues to avoid creating duplicates.

  • Confirmed that it can be reproduced in built-in themes without customized css.

If it only exists in 3rd party themes or css, you can still report it, but please attach the theme target or the css file. We may not "fix" it, if it is caused by 3rd party themes or css styles that we cannot support.

Describe the bug
Typora reopens the last documents despite being set to Open new file on startup. It happens even if documents are saved. I even tried disabling Record recent files and folders, and clearing said records, without luck.

To Reproduce

  1. In settings, set On Launch to Open new file
  2. Open any file or folder
  3. Save it
  4. Quit Typora (either by menu or shortcut)
  5. Start Typora again
  6. Last file/folder is open instead of new blank one

Expected behavior
A blank new file with cursor blinking on startup, no matter what files or folders were open when I last quit Typora.

Desktop (please complete the following information):
MacBook pro 2015 running macOS Monterey 12.7.6

Typora Version
Latest 1.12.4
