Pressing backspace twice sometimes deletes 3 characters Gboard #407

What happened?
This is almost the only keyboard I use in iOS, for some reason the data about what's being edited the keyboard gets seems messed up? When I press delete twice, the keyboard thinks I removed two letters in its suggestions… I'm knot a fan but I like quick access to most symbols while keeping the keyboard visible.
What are the steps to reproduce?
Open Runestone either with Gboard as default or switch to it. Type a word. Press backspace twice. Aaaaa 😟
What is the expected behavior?
Two letters deleted ofc
