Transcripts4All believes deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals are entitled equal access to the same quality content as everyone else. Just as most people expect a professionally written article or blog post to use proper grammar, punctuation, paragraph breaks, sentences of reasonable length, and even just correctly spelled words, deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals expect the same from transcripts and subtitles supposedly also published by professionals. However, the sad truth is that much of the modern professionally published content, namely podcasts and YouTube videos, simply include an incomprehensible blob of AI-generated text as an afterthought and pass it off as being a transcript, mostly for SEO purposes and not with the intent it actually be read by a human.
Transcripts4All seeks to bring a community of collaborators who are deaf, hard-of-hearing, and also hearing together around the latest cutting-edge tools available to collaborate on the content that matters to them, with the expressed permission of the content rights holders.
