Feature Request: Add keyword / omnibox

The omnibox API allows to register a keyword with Google Chrome/Firefox's address bar, which is also known as the omnibox. This would make the addon way more accessable. So for example typing f word enter could lead to index.html?q=word and search it directly. Or the suggestions could even be used, so that you can jump really fast to the results.

I've looked into this before, and found the API very lackluster. Although I wasn't trying to use it in the way you describe, so perhaps that would be good for users.

The main issue I found with the omnibox was that there wasn't a good way to display more information. You get to display some text. So, for example, for each search hit we could display the URL, the title, the matched term, etc. We could also concatenate them all together, but it didn't feel very useful in my testing.

Maybe a popup instead?
Or a keyboard shortcut to open the FTTF page / popup?
