Persistent "Head ... denied" error when pulling images from ghcr.io (after full Docker reinstall) #2309

Hello AzuraCast Support Team,

I'm experiencing a critical issue with my AzuraCast installation (running on a fresh Ubuntu 20.04 VPS). For the past 24+ hours, I've been unable to start AzuraCast due to a persistent error when Docker attempts to pull images from ghcr.io.

The specific error message is: Error response from daemon: Head "https://ghcr.io/v2/azuracast/azuracast_web/manifests/latest": denied (or azuracast_radio in some cases).

I have performed extensive troubleshooting, including:

Confirmed sufficient disk space (currently 8GB available).

Confirmed DNS resolution for ghcr.io (using dig ghcr.io).

Confirmed direct HTTPS connectivity to ghcr.io (using curl -v https://ghcr.io which returns HTTP/2 301).

Cleared Docker's local cache multiple times (docker system prune --all --force).

Attempted docker login ghcr.io (which also failed with "denied").

Completely uninstalled and reinstalled Docker and Docker Compose from scratch on the server.

Despite all these steps, the "denied" error persists whenever docker-compose up -d or docker-compose pull is executed.

It seems to be a specific issue preventing my Docker daemon from accessing your repository, even though general network connectivity is fine.

Could you please investigate if there might be any reason for this specific IP (109.205.181.228) to be denied access, or if there's a known issue with the ghcr.io repository that could cause this?

Any guidance or deeper diagnostic steps you can provide would be greatly appreciated, as my AzuraCast instance is currently down.

Thank you for your time and help.

Best regards,
