Windows:
ebook2audiobook.cmd --script_mode build_docker
Linux/Mac:
./ebook2audiobook.sh --script_mode build_docker

New way to run:
Docker:
docker run --rm -it -v "$(pwd)":/app:rw -p 7860:7860 ebook2audiobook:[cpu/cu1xx/rocmx.x/xpu]

Compose:
DEVICE_TAG=[cpu/cu1xx/rocmx.x/xpu] docker compose up -d

Podman:
DEVICE_TAG=[cpu/cu1xx/rocmx.x/xpu] podman-compose up -d

To report an issue here, thanks to respect strictly the process
or this issue will become too big and unreadable.

1. Operating System:

• Windows, Linux, MacOS

2. Hardware and Model

• CUDA, ROCM, XPU, MPS
• Nvidia RTX Pro 600 etc...

3. Script Mode

• Native, Docker

4. Full Terminal log As Attached File

• from the command line run to start E2A until the end. Attach the log file, don't copy/paste it as a comment.

Clean install via: git clone https://github.com/DrewThomasson/ebook2audiobook.git of version 25.12.3b12 fails with the following error:

Downloaded UniDic v3.1.0+2021-08-31 to D:\Tools\ebook2audiobook\python_env\Lib\site-packages\unidic\dicdir
[ebook2audiobook] Installation completed.
['purelib']) was unexpected at this time.

Log File: Failed Install 25_12_3b12.txt

Installation of v25.11.27b7 completes successfully and launches.

@rbgwilson v25.11.27b7 or 25.12.3b12? something wrong with your cloning. it's a bug I normally fixed since.

1. Remove old ebook2audiobook folder entirely
2. Run command: git clone https://github.com/DrewThomasson/ebook2audiobook.git
3. Run command: cd ebook2audiobook
4. Run command: ebook2audiobook.cmd

New repro with same system config:

Operating System: Windows 11 25H2
Hardware and Model: CUDA 4070 TI Super
Script Mode: Native

1. Created new temp folder
2. Run command: git clone https://github.com/DrewThomasson/ebook2audiobook.git
3. Run command: cd ebook2audiobook
4. Run command: ebook2audiobook.cmd

Install log: Failed Install 25_12_3b_12 attempt 2.txt

ROCM not supported by the Torch installed!

Operating System:

• Windows 11 25H2

Hardware and Model:

• ROCM
• AMD Radeon RX 9700XT

Script Mode

• Native

  Full Terminal log:

ROCM not supported by the Torch installed.txt

I pulled the latest version 2 hours ago to check if the error was on my end. I have not been able to get GPU encoding to work. Thank you for your hard work! Am I missing something? Best Wishes

@stefan2030 the log shows not enough info to tell what's happening. I need to know:

• is it a fresh install or update with git pull?
• did you have calibre installed already?

Hi, it is a fresh install, yesterday i had the "['purelib'])" error, so I deleted the ebook2audiobook folder and pulled it again and installed all dependencies.

Calibre is not installed, just through wsl.

Is there a way to create a more complete log?

@stefan2030 it just need the full terminal log of the installation from the command line you run until the end.
I think some components installation failed to have this kind of result. also I found some typos on the last version so I'm updating now (after my tests) so if you could wait try with the coming version.
