where is the 0.4.1 -> 0.5 update ?

I was being ironic, actually, since they don't respond even though we've been waiting for this upgrade for a year.

So I figured it out myself. All I had to do was launch the installer, give it the v0.5 playbook, click "upgrade," and follow the "next" instructions until the end.
